Series Description

Futurama is an animated sitcom, which takes place in the year 3000 AD and beyond. Phillip J. Fry, from the year 1999 AD is frozen, he awakes to find that he is now in the year 2999 AD. Fry, Turanga Leela and Bender becomes the new crew of the Planet Express Ship, a delivery ship for a company called Planet Express founded by Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth. The series is set in New New York, which was build on Old New York in the 31st Century, Earth is part of the Democratic Order of Planet, or DOOP, which is similar to Star Trek's United Federation of Planets.
